Mitzi Evans, a senior at Mid-Prairie High in Iowa representing Speed Alliance, won the girls 800 meters in 2:22.13 at the first event of the Northwest Missouri Youth Open series at Hughes Fieldhouse in Maryville. Evans also took third in the 400 in 58.63.
